KFARSELWAN MOUNTAIN
A HIGHLY EXCEPTIONAL SITE IN LEBANON
LOCATION
Mount Kneisseh of Kfarselwan is the central point of the Mount Lebanon Range
SCENERY
Only on this summit line, you view both sides of the western chain with an eye on the sea and another on the Bekaa valley to the eastern chain.
ARCHEOLOGICAL GEM
Up there, you reach one of the ancient temples that dominated the landscape. From such a vantage point that overlooks broad horizon, it is typical of Roman strategy to create a settlement.
BIRD MIGRATION
You are right on the migration route viewing broad open skies, and enjoying a treasure in bird watching.
WATER FOR LIFE
Numerous sinkholes carved by snow melt draw the water into the mountain down to the underground cistern that supplies numerous springs on both sides of the chain.
THE LIVING
Crowning this marvel are the unique plants and animals that take of Lebanon their sole home and enrich the biodiversity of the mountain with their populations; they are called the endemics of Lebanon.

هجرة الطيور
يقع الجبل على خط العبور للطيور المهاجرة، يكشف الافق البعيد مما يزيد من متعة مشاهدة الطيور
مياه للحياة
انتبهوا للعدد الكبير من اقماع الثلج والتي تحمل مياه الثلوج الى قلب الجبل لتخلق احد اكبر الخزانات للمياه الجوفية والذي يروي العديد من الينابيع على سفحي السلسلة
الكائنات الحية
وتُتوج هذه الروعة بعدد فريد من النباتات والحيوانات التي لا تعيش الا في لبنان، ويأخذ الكثير منها هذا الجبل موطناً له.
الموقع
يتربع جبل كفرسلوان، والمعروف بجبل الكنيسة، في قلب لبنان اذ يتوسط سلسلة جبال لبنان الغربية
المناظر الخلابة
يمكننا مشاهدة جانبي السلسلة من على خط القمم بمشهد يتفرد به هذا الجبل، فتشاهد البحر في الغرب والبقاع في الشرق في الوقت نفسه
ذخائر من الآثار
يحتضن الجبل في الاعالي موقع اثري هام. كيف لا! وهو يتميز بوساعة الافق من كافة الاتجاهات، فهل يعقل للرومان ان يتركوا هكذا موقع وهم الأكثر تمرساً بالجغرافيا
